Ed Engoron


Ed Engoron is President of Perspectives/The Consulting Group, Inc., a company which specializes in strategic planning, concept and product development for the food and hospitality industries. 

            He began his career following college as an art director/director in the television and motion picture industry.  He is credited with the production, direction or design of over 600 commercials, 200 television shows and 15 major features. 

            Ed Engoron entered the field of restaurant design and operations in 1969 as a partner in The Warehouse Restaurant in Marina del Rey, California.  In 1970, he joined Lawry's Foods, Inc. as Director of Marketing and Design. 

            Ed Engoron was Founder and President of The Customs House Restaurants, Fanny's Fish Markets, The Fish Markets, The Palm Grill, The China Rose and Sweet Deceit ® ... all unique and distinctly different concepts. 

            Ed Engoron has been President of Perspectives since its founding.  Ed Engoron was Executive Vice President for TGI Friday's and is currently an active member in the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI), International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA), Chaine des Rotisseurs, Southern California Culinary Guild, International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA). 

            Ed Engoron has written a cookbook, Stolen Secrets, writes for Let's Talk Food!™, the newsletter of The Super Foodies™, and has hosted radio and television talk, food and cooking shows in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, San Diego and Dallas.  Ed Engoron also co-hosted The Super Foodies, a nationally syndicated radio show. 

            Ed Engoron has traveled to 107 countries throughout the world and is active in the Society of Motion Picture and Television Art Directors (SMPAD). He has served as a member of the Board of Governors, Los Angeles County Arboreta and Botanic Gardens as well as County Commissioner, Marin County, Chairman Fine Arts Commission.  He was also presented the San Mateo County First Citizen Award.
